VIA DEL SOL RESIDENCE
VIA DEL SOL RESIDENCE
The Via Del Sol residence is a Scottsdale suburban home owned by a lovely couple seeking to create a wildlife habitat and sanctuary in their front yard, specifically aiming to foster the native quail population. Another important design feature sought by the residents was a patio and water feature to accompany their outdoor living space. The former goal was accomplished through the use of native and desert adapted plant, which the quail and other wildlife could use for shelter and food. The latter goal was achieved through a classic, broom-finish concrete patio with space for the water feature to create a beautiful crashing water sound just outside the kitchen window.
GARDENIA STREET FAMILY RESIDENCE
GARDENIA STREET FAMILY RESIDENCE
The Gardenia Street family residence design consists of graphic renderings that exhibit what is possible for a suburban backyard. The design intent was to create two separate spaces in the backyard to provide an area for regular family and pet activity and an area for creative planting and gardening. Important characteristics for this project were native planting, raised bed gardening, tropical planting, and zen relaxation.
FILLMORE STREET RESIDENCE
FILLMORE STREET RESIDENCE
The Fillmore Street residence is a typical Valley of the Sun suburban neighborhood design. This design includes low water use plants and will take minimal effort on the part of the client to care for. Some of the plant material chosen for this design will build the native environment by providing ecological resources for native pollinator populations as well as serving the purpose of creating a beautiful landscape for the enjoyment of the client.
